The service has been rated ‘good’ in six areas and ‘adequate’ in four, compared with several areas needing improvement in its previous review.
Inspectors highlighted improvements in leadership, training and handling major incidents, while noting there is still more work to do.
The service says the findings show it is moving in the right direction as it continues efforts to improve safety for people across Surrey.
