Police were called to an incident at Kingston Hospital earlier.

It is believed that a man had been acting aggressively prior to being transported to court.

A spokesperson for Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust said:

“As has been reported in some media outlets, police presence earlier today did not result in a lockdown or incident at the hospital. Patient and staff safety is a priority for us at Kingston Hospital, in our Emergency Department and across our services.”
