Chelsea will hand a chance to highly-rated young goalkeeper Mike Penders as they deal with the absence of injured number one Emiliano Martinez.

The 21-year-old Belgian has been compared to compatriot Thibaut Courtois and is in line to step in after Martinez suffered a broken jaw last weekend.

Boss Xabi Alonso says he can see similarities between the two goalkeepers and believes Penders is more than capable of taking his opportunity.
