Four men have been arrested on suspicion of kidnap and possession of a firearm after a stand-off in a residential street in Hanworth.
The incident began when a car failed to stop for police in nearby Hounslow.
It was followed to Swift Road where four men were seen to enter a house.
Scotland Yard has confirmed that firearms officers were deployed in response to reports the men were armed.
They were detained at around 9pm.
