People living in Mount Pleasant say two attempts were caught on their doorbell cameras in the early hours of Wednesday.
Further reports were also made the next day in South Lane and Midleton Road.
In all of the reports, the men were wearing face coverings and tracksuits and the incidents have been reported to police.
