It happened on Thursday evening on Russell Road where two men, tried to gain entry, with one of them wielding a machete.
The two suspects are described as black, in their early twenties, and were wearing hi vis jackets.
They were spotted nearby Walton Business Centre shortly after the aggravated burglary.
