The Trussell Trust says a record 3-point-1 million food bank parcels were handed out over the last twelve months across the UK.

The charity’s figures show that’s nearly double what it managed to give out five years ago.

And there’s been a 27 percent increase in people of pension age asking for support.

Phil Storey runs Hammersmith and Fulham foodbank and says everyone is struggling.
