The Lib Dems’ annual conference has come to a close, with a call from leader Sir Ed Davey for a “movement rooted in decency.”

He’s criticised other parties for not seeing the “true value” of every human being.

The event in Brighton comes as a new YouGov poll puts the Lib Dems in fifth place behind the Greens and Reform.

During his speech to delegates, he talked about the dangers of AI calling for an “AI Safety Agency”, income tax and he also paid tribute to his Norbiton councillor wife Emily.
