The £247,788 of funding will help restore the 1861 organ, the only one in the UK made by Belgian craftsman Hippolyte Loret.

It’s being restored in Canterbury and is expected to return to Hammersmith next August.

The project will also support public concerts, community events and music lessons for pupils.
