Transport for London says they will undergo a period of trials on train lines before being put into passenger service later this year.
The Elizabeth line offers a direct rail service between central London and all Heathrow Airport terminals.
It has become the UK’s single busiest railway service, with more than 850 million passenger journeys made, since it opened in May 2022.
