From tomorrow (April 1) boat licenses are expected to increase with an extra surcharge for continuous cruisers.
They’re people who live aboard a boat but don’t have a home mooring.
Members of the National Boat Travellers Association say the increase threaten their way of life.
The Canal and Rivers Trust, which levies the charges, is planning to raise them by 25 per cent over the next four years.
