Kingston Council says it is looking to tackle climate change with a new flooding exercise.
An exercise involving a number of organisations including the Environment Agency will be held on the Thames on Thursday.
The authority says the hope is to better prepare services for potential, large-scale flooding incidents.
The exercise is being piloted in Kingston before a roll out across the rest of London.
