The original project was created by Reginald Brill, who was Head of Kingston College of Art, in the 1950s.
His aim was to secure the borough’s place as a patron of the arts and the Brill Collection now includes over 120 works.
The night’s big winner was Sasha Alfille who had been given the task of bringing Kingston’s “Wilko Corner” to life through her artwork.
