An experimental cycle lane on a busy road in Croydon is to be made permanent despite the council receiving over 400 objections to it.

Restrictions, including traffic wands, were implemented in Brighton Road in April last year.

The council says it has listened to the views of residents and will make changes to the lane in order to make it permanent.

The wands, defenders and segregation marking will be removed which the authority says will make it safer for all road users.
