South Western Railway has launched a new campaign aimed at highlighting the effect of abuse directed at staff.

The company says members can be subjected to physical assaults, verbal attacks and insults.

SWR says even though some incidents may be considered relatively ‘low-level’ they can have a lasting effect on staff’s mental health.

Trains across the network now feature posters and digital billboards asking passengers to evaluate their behaviour.
