Police arrested a man in Walton over the weekend on suspicion of supplying drugs and possession of an offensive weapon.

On Saturday night, officers stopped a vehicle on Vicarage Fields, and the male occupant was detained for a search under section 23.

Cash, a number of wraps suspected to be cocaine and a lock knife was found of his person.

He was taken into custody and later released on bail while their investigation continues.
