People in Kingston will soon have a final say on plans for the borough’s growth from 2028 to 2043, subject to council approval this month.

The Local Plan sets out around 20,000 new homes, plus jobs, services, green space and infrastructure.

It will go to council committees on the 16th and 22nd of June before a summer consultation on whether it is legally sound.

If approved, it will be submitted for government inspection later this year, with adoption possible in 2027/28.
