Jackie News reported last month that Emma Wells Tennis will now run the authority’s courts and provide coaching.
Merton Council says the decision was made due to extreme financial pressure.
But Lib Dem, Paul Kohler, says the tender process was “unfair” and “most” tennis coaches did not event submit a tender.
He says the process was unclear so many coaches did not know they would be affected.
Paul also says residents he has spoken with are angry and a petition against the move has been launched.
