It has been listed as an “asset of community value” for another 5 years by Merton Council.
Residents had been calling for the move following a blaze earlier this summer which gutted the historic Burn Bullock Pub nearby.
They want the pavilion to be exempt from any future redevelopment plans that may go ahead as a result of the fire.
