That’s according to Surrey’s deputy commissioner Ellie Vesey-Thompson after she visited Shepperton swan sanctuary.
Sanctuary volunteer Danni Rogers has started a petition calling for the sale of catapults and ammunition to be made illegal.
Five swans were killed the Surrey area in the first two weeks of 2024 and since January 27th two more have died and four seriously injured.
