An event honouring those who have had to flee their homes will take place at Kensington Town Hall next Monday.

Cllr Elizabeth Campbell, Leader of Kensington and Chelsea Council, said:

“Three years on from the start of the conflict, our thoughts remain with the people of Ukraine, including those who have made Kensington and Chelsea their home.

“I am grateful to our residents who have so generously opened their homes to those fleeing the war, as well as to our borough’s Ukrainian community and voluntary groups who continue to provide support.

“Sadly, with the war continuing and more people forced to leave Ukraine, there is still a need for safe places to stay in this country. Please take a look at the Homes for Ukraine scheme and consider helping out if you’re in a position to do so.”
