A garage was destroyed, while part of the loft and external scaffolding of the detached home were damaged.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Twickenham, Kingston, Surbiton and Wimbledon brought the blaze under control.
No one was injured, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
