The fire broke out yesterday afternoon on the anticlockwise carriageway, with passengers safely getting off the coach as smoke filled the area.
Emergency crews, including fire, police and ambulance teams, rushed to the scene between Junctions 9 and 8.
Drivers faced major delays as repairs were carried out following the incident.
