Elmbridge Borough Council has launched a refund scheme for drivers wrongly issued parking fines in its car parks.

A procedural error issued parking fines between January 2020 and April 2026 in Esher, Cobham, Hersham, Walton and Weybridge.

So far, 157 applications have been received, with dozens already paid or ready for payment.

Anyone who thinks they’re eligible is being urged to apply online or by phone, with refunds expected within two weeks once approved.
