Drivers in Richmond are being warned to be on their guard against a text message scam.

It purports to relate to the payment of an outstanding parking Penalty Charge Notice.

The council says it will never send a text message asking people to pay a PCN.

The authority says “if you receive a text message do not make any payment or provide your bank details and delete the text message.”
