Police say a woman sat next to the victim, and the pair started arguing before the woman punched the victim in the head repeatedly, scratched her face and pulled her hair.
The victim was then knocked unconscious when a glass bottle was smashed over her head.
The incident took place between Shepherds Bush and Liverpool Street at about 3:30pm on the 2nd December.
Police want to speak to three witnesses who helped restrain the woman
