They were called to Great West Road just before 5pm, after cooking oil in a deep fat fryer is believed to have caught fire.
The fire damaged part of the ground floor, half the roof, and the kitchen extraction system, but no one was injured.
Firefighters have warned takeaway owners to keep kitchen ventilation and cooking equipment clean to reduce the risk of fires.
