James Bye played Martin Fowler in the soap until his character was killed off in last week’s live 40th anniversary episode.
The actor says it’ll be “quite a switch” to take the lead role in the production of PD James’ “Death Comes To Pemberley” in May.
The production will tour the UK, finishing at Richmond Theatre in September.
