There’s a warning pharmacists are facing a “financial cliff edge” and, without funding, will be forced to cut services for patients.

The National Pharmacy Association, based in Twickenham, claims some are ‘hanging on by their fingernails’.

This comes ahead of rises to National Insurance contributions, and the National Living Wage, from April.

Ministers are in talks over funding for this year and next.
