Ethel May Caterham from Lightwater was born on the 21st of August 1909, making her 115 years, 8 months and 11 days old.
She assumed the title after the passing of Brazilian nun Inah Canabarro Lucas who died at the age of 116 yesterday.
Ethel is the last surviving subject of Edward VII, and celebrated her last birthday with family and friends at her care home in Lightwater.
