Police and emergency services were called to Poynders Road on Friday evening, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives believe the incident was isolated, with no wider risk to the public, and no arrests have been made.
A crime scene remains in place and officers are appealing for anyone with information or footage to come forward.
