A man from Hounslow has been charged with planning to travel to Syria with the intention of committing acts of terrorism.

31-year-old Isa Giga was arrested by counter-terror police on Thursday after arriving in London on a flight from Turkey.

The Met have accused Giga of planning to go to Syria to fight for the “Jaysh al-Fath” groups.

He is appearing in front of Westminster Crown Court today.
