Hew Stevenson and his friend Grant Jacobs will travel 1,300 miles to Lviv in October as part of a convoy.
They’ve raised around £7,000 and hope to raise more to fit the vehicle with equipment to warn of drones.
Hew plans to return to Hammersmith in time to deliver Christmas trees to parks in the area, as he has done for 26 years.
