Police were called to reports of an incident involving a white BMW and a grey Landrover Freelander on Guildford Road.
The passenger in the BMW was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the BMW was arrested on suspicion of causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving.
We’re told he will be taken into custody once he has been treated for his injuries.
