Two people have been taken to hospital after a fire at a hotel on Kingston Hill.

A first-floor room was destroyed, with four fire engines and around 25 firefighters called to the scene.

The London Fire Brigade believes the fire was caused by the failure of an e-bike battery.

Crews from Kingston, Surbiton and New Malden brought the blaze under control just before 5.35am.
