The British Medical Association is urging Rishi Sunak to avoid using “hostile rhetoric on sick note culture”.

The Prime Minister says 850,000 more people are out of work since Covid, and insists he’s on a “moral mission” to fix that.

The proposals though have been described as a “full-on assault on disabled people”.

Liberal Democrat leader and Kingston MP, Sir Ed Davey, says it was “a desperate speech”.
