We’re being warned of severe disruption and huge delays – as the UK’s busiest motorway shuts down for roadworks later.

All lanes on the M-25 – between junctions 10 for Wisley and 11 for Chertsey – will close from 9pm this evening until Monday morning.

National Highways says it’s so a bridge can be demolished as part of a 317-million pound improvement project.
