Wimbledon Village is the only town in South West London to make this year’s Sunday Times Best Places to Live in London guide.

Clerkenwell in East London has taken the top spot in the capital alongside six others including Forest Hill and Crouch End.

Wimbledon Village was chosen for being “leafy but well-connected” with 15 trains an hour to Waterloo.

Judges said they felt the High Street vibe was tailored to “lazy Sunday strolling” or enjoying a cortado at the chic Demitasse café.
