Wimbledon’s Conservative MP, Stephen Hammond, won’t be standing at the next general election. He announced the news in a letter to his party’s association in Merton. Mr Hammond has served as the Member of Parliament for Wimbledon since 2005. He described it as an “incredibly tough decision”.
