Police in Epsom are issuing a warning about a telephone scam targeting elderly residents.
Officers say the scammers make a call advising people their bank cards have been used illegally, and then request a home visit.
Police are urging people to not give out any personal details either over the phone or in person.
They say they will never take any bank cards or details and any visits will be made in uniform and officers will be carrying photo ID.
