Wandsworth’s council leader has been explaining how the authority is managing to freeze council tax at a time when most are putting it up.

People in the borough are going to be paying the lowest average rate of anywhere in the country.

At the same time, Wandsworth is promising weekly bin collections, monthly mega-skip days to cut fly tipping and more school streets.
