Wandsworth Council is examining the opening hours at all 11 libraries across the borough.

It comes after a petition signed by more than 150 residents demanded opening hours at Northcote Library in Battersea be increased.

The petition said the new library is more sustainable as it uses solar energy and air source heat pumps, slashing energy costs.

The council responded by revealing a new library strategy which includes an assessment of residents’ needs.
