There’s much anticipation in the air at Wimbledon today as 7-time women’s singles champion Serena Williams returns to the All England Club for the first time in four years.

The 44-year-old is last up on Centre Court, and she’ll take on Australian Maya Joint.

Before that, Iga Swiatek begins her title defence against American Taylor Townsend.

Play has already started on the outside courts, with Katie Boulter and Katie Swan hoping to restore some British pride after ten home players crashed out on day one.

Swan is one set up against Irina-Camelia Begu, but Boulter is a set down against Italian qualifier Tyra Caterina Grant.

Toby Samuel, Arthur Fery and Jacob Fearnley are among the other Brits taking to the grass today.
