It’s for the creation of a first-of-its-kind Multimodal Ion Beam Imaging Facility to help the UK become a lead in the sector.
It’s hoped the site will offer a better understanding of the effects of pharmaceuticals and eventually lead to better drug development.
The grant is coming from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
