The search for the remains of Muriel McKay, who was abducted from Wimbledon Village and murdered in 1969, has been called off.

Officers have failed to find any evidence of her death or kidnap at the excavation site at a farm in Hertfordshire.

Her family have been calling for her convicted killer to be brought to the UK to show detectives where he buried her body.

They had criticised the investigation saying Nizamodeen Hosein should have been present.
