A schoolboy from Banstead is leading his family in a charity walk across 12 London bridges to raise money for Diabetes UK.

13-year-old Roman Marsh is taking on the London Bridges Wellness Walk after a surprise diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes last November.

On Sunday he’ll be joined by Mum Lucy, Dad James, siblings Luca aged 17, and Alicia, aged 10, along with thousands of other walkers.

Mum Lucy says they took on the challenge as they want to “raise money to improve awareness, fund new tech and to find a cure.”
