The road layout is being changed near two schools in Balham to make them safer for pupils.

Wandsworth Council will carry out the works around Chestnut Grove Academy and Hornsby House School in two phases.

The move comes after a public consultation late last year which attracted more than 740 responses.

Results showed the majority of residents agreed that action was needed to make children’s journeys safer.
