The partner of a police officer who was shot dead by a prisoner is suing Scotland Yard -claiming he’d still be alive if the gunman had been searched properly.

Matt Ratana was killed by Louis de Zoysa when he opened fire in Croydon custody suite in 2020.

Mr Ratana’s partner, Su Bushby, says ‘the shoddy and inadequate search by officers was a neglect of their duty.’
