Plain clothed officers on the Benhill Estate witnessed a suspected exchange, and suspect Ronald Wilson was stopped and searched.
No drugs were recovered but a mobile phone containing evidence of drug supply was in his possession.
He was found guilty of being concerned in the supply of Class A and Class B drugs and jailed for 3 years and 9 months.
