The detective who led the investigation into the murder of Sarah Everard has been speaking about the moment she was informed the chief suspect was a serving police officer.

The 33-year-old was walking home in Clapham in 2021 when she was abducted, raped and murdered by Wayne Couzens.

Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin says they discovered he worked at the Met force after Ms Everard and Couzens were spotted on CCTV.
